Members of the Popeyes fan club are about to get even more excited. Beginning Wednesday, the fast-food chain’s latest collaboration will be available in its restaurant locations across the United States, as well as for delivery, and it will delight both truffle and spice enthusiasts.
Popeye’s classic Chicken sandwich is dressed up for this one. The company has partnered with Truff, a brand known for creating luxury sauces with a truffle twist.
The Spicy Truff Chicken Sandwich is the outcome of this union, which combines Popeyes’ crisp Louisiana fried chicken sandwich with a delectable spicy mayo flavored with black winter truffle, giving it that extra kick.
It’s also served in a brioche bun and topped with pickles. The new sandwich begins at $5.99.
That is not all, however. The agreement also includes a full Truff menu, which features some of Popeye’s most popular products elevated to new heights with Truff’s feisty sauce.
“Both Popeyes and TRUFF have reimagined our industries, and now we are coming together to challenge the status quo on the concept of ‘fancy food,’ but for every day,” Popeyes President Sami Siddiqui said in a statement to Food&Wine.
If that isn’t enough, the fast-food restaurant business encourages innovation with its “Build Your Own” Truff menu, which can be accessed via its website or mobile app.
There, you may customize your order to include a side of Truff Spicy Mayo with almost anything.
And, what’s a fancy cooperation without a fancy competition? Fans can now enter the “So You Think You’re Fancy?” contest.
Wisdom Kaye, a content developer, organized a TikTok contest. Truff aficionados can enter to win a berth aboard Popeye’Yachtsteraunt by posting a video on TikTok and tagging #PopeyesContest. The yacht will set sail from Miami in April 2024. (View the contest rules here.)
“Our Chicken Sandwich honors time-honored cooking techniques used in fine-dining restaurants.
Combined with Truff, our new sandwich features new bold, savory ingredients traditionally reserved for white tablecloth settings, and we saw a chance to lean in on being opulent,” said Jeff Klein, Popeyes’ Chief Marketing Officer.
“We launched a TikTok contest anchored to the launch of our fanciest Chicken Sandwich yet and designed the campaign to inspire guests to take to social media to spotlight fancy moments in their everyday life.”
