Shake Shack is not known for lackluster new menu offerings. The “gourmet” fast-casual restaurant brand has long prided itself on offering high-quality burgers with a fine dining mindset. And its new offerings reflect the highbrow appeal.
Starting today, Shake Shack will serve a new Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger and a Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich.
Both dishes have a sweet and delicious bourbon bacon jam made with bacon that has been smoked for six hours over real hardwood applewood.
The jam contains Maker’s Mark Kentucky bourbon, which is noted for its smooth flavor and flavors of vanilla, caramel, and wood. According to Shake Shack, the jam is sweet and savory, with woodsy and smokey flavors and a hint of spice.
In addition, the burger and chicken sandwich will be topped with white cheddar and served on toasted potato buns. The burger will have crispy shallots, but the chicken sandwich will have pickles.
While the items will be available at all Shake Shack locations on Friday, May 6, customers may get an early start today, May 3, by ordering through the Shack App.
The Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger starts at $8.49, while the Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich is $8.09.
To guarantee that you don’t miss out on any of its limited-time specials, the restaurant has begun a “last call” on Twitter, spotlighting limited-time items that are departing the menu.
Are they currently on their way out? The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Spiced Fries were taken out in late April.
