McDonald’s Christmas menu is always intriguing, and while the fast food restaurant has yet to reveal what gourmet items it has planned for the holiday season, the team has disclosed what seasonal hot drinks they will have in 2022. So, who wants a sneak peek?
First up, fans will be overjoyed to learn that Macca’s Hot Chocolate Deluxe – a silky delight filled with a rich chocolate syrup, topped with a swirl of cream and a chocolaty powder – is returning this year following a phenomenally popular 2021 introduction.
Next, and new for 2022, McDonald’s is introducing a Caramel Waffle Latte. This sounds waffle-licious! It consists of a silky latte combined with caramel waffle flavor syrup and topped with luscious caramel cream and caramel sugar coating.
McDonald’s Caramel Waffle Latte competes with Starbucks’ returning Caramel Waffle Latte, and you can bet we’ll be conducting a taste test to compare the two (stay tuned).
McDonald’s is also introducing a brand-new line of Christmas cups. Expect to see designs including a variety of holiday motifs, such as crackers, candy canes, holly, and festive sweaters, all in the season’s hallmark colours of red and green.
McDonald’s Hot Chocolate Deluxe (£1.49) and Caramel Waffle Latte (£2.09) will be available at restaurants and drive-throughs starting November 3, 2022.
We have yet to learn what the fast food chain’s entire Christmas menu will include. But if it’s anything like last year’s (Festive Stacks, Celebration McFlurries, Cheese Melt Dippers, Festive Pies, and more), we won’t be too concerned.
